China's textile and apparel exports to the United States are optimistic about the prospects

China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Textiles said on the 3rd that two days before the opening of the third phase of the 118th Canton Fair, the transaction with the United States was 130 million US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 10.7%; China's textile and garment export market prospects to the United States are promising.

Since the beginning of this year, China's textile and apparel exports have faced many unfavorable factors, showing a downward trend as a whole. Among the main export markets, only exports to the United States have maintained growth. In the first three quarters, benefiting from the gradual recovery of the US domestic economy and the strong performance of the clothing retail market, China's textile and clothing exports to the US totaled US$36.4 billion, an increase of 8.3%.

The person in charge of the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Textiles believes that the United States is still the main driving force for the growth of China's overall export of textiles and clothing in the future.

The chamber of commerce said that "the US market is stable and easy to do" has become the consensus of textile enterprises participating in the Canton Fair. Most of the interviewed enterprises said that the export situation is relatively severe this year, but exports to the United States have maintained stable growth and are generally optimistic about the prospects of the US market.
